Christmas in Australia is usually hot, so we don’t have snow, mulled wine and wintery fires. A typical Christmas for us usually involves prawns, cold ham and summery activities such as backyard cricket or swimming. Picking out the ultimate Christmas outfit to ensure one can participate in all the festivities, is essential!
I love wearing outfits that are fun, playful and colourful. It reflects how I am feeling throughout the holiday season. I love the combination of feminine and sporty in this outfit. The skirt, from Ganni, is made from a gorgeous silk flower print, which cinches at the waist and flares out into a full skirt. The printed tee, also from Ganni, perfectly describes where I want to be over summer! And my white kicks pull the whole outfit together.
And the best part about wearing a full skirt like this is, I can forgo the sneakers for a pair of heels, add a lace cami, and I’m ready for a summer evening out on the town. A fabulous, and versatile purchase!
The most important part of the holiday season is, however, spending it with love ones. It’s empirical we all put aside all the gift giving, cooking and stress, and remember what Christmas (and the holiday’s) is all about. Whether you’re religious or not, or from another faith, we can all agree that peace and love starts at home. Remember to show your loved ones how much they mean to you. Laugh out loud. And listen more than you speak.
And….after Christmas, on the 28th of December, my husband and myself are packing up and moving east to Sydney. So the next few days for us are going to be extra special. We’ll be eating good food, spending time outside, and staying up late chatting with friends and family. What a perfect way to see out the holiday season!
So I can only imagine I will be writing my next post in my new home in Sydney. I aim to explore new places, learn more than ever and experiment with different styles. Thank you for your support thus far. 🙂
Have a very Merry Christmas!
