Nothing says Spring like a fresh all white outfit! Cliche it may be, but there is no denying the fresh AF factor!
However, when I wear a white monochromatic outfit, I often get comments such as, “I don’t think I could wear all white,” or “I’m too scared to wear white.” And I suppose I have had those thoughts cross my mind too. But then I just think to myself, ‘if you love it, wear it.’ To be honest, that’s what drives my personal style anyway!
So, I thought I would help you out and write up 3 easy tips on how to best pull off a monochromatic white outfit, so that you too, can ‘look and feel fresh AF!
3 Tips on How to Wear a Monochromatic White Outfit:
- Choose items of clothing that have opposing fits. Sometimes a tight top and bottom combo can make you feel not as confident, particularly in all white. When you include opposing fits, it helps to relax your mindset, as well as balance out your look. For example, I went for a looser shirt and a tighter denim miniskirt. In all honesty, I would even go bigger with the shirt in the future.
- Opt for different textures. Now, you know I love textures, and it’s because they make styling so much easier. In this outfit, I went for a linen top and denim skirt, which gave it a more fresh, spring/summer look. In winter, I would go for a white cashmere sweater and jeans or leather pants (come to think of it…I need some white leather pants now!!). I also added in a pair of leather flats which sneakily resemble a pair of Celine’s, but a pair of ‘on trend’ wicker slides (such as these) would work perfectly as well.
- Have fun with accessories! When your outfit is monochromatic, you can either keep accessories to a minimum, or amp it up! For an all white look, I like to add in the accessories as it breaks the look up. I opted for a pair of H&M uneven statement earrings, my usual go-to pieces (necklaces, rings, bangle & watch), as well as a bright red lip.
